Residents of Harmony Haven Rest Home have the right to:

  • Participate in Care – be informed about condition, medications, and care options; help set goals and plans.

  • Choose Providers – select a physician and consult specialists as needed.

  • Freedom from Abuse/Neglect – safe environment, no mistreatment or retaliation.

  • Communication & Visitation – meet with family, friends, advocates, and the ombudsman program.

  • Personal Property – keep reasonable personal items and clothing.

  • Manage Personal Funds – or designate a representative.

  • Transfers/Discharge Protections – advance notice, explanation, and appeal rights consistent with law.

  • Access to Records & Policies – obtain copies of one’s records and written rights/policies.

Printed Residents’ Rights are available at reception and can be provided in alternative formats upon request.


Compliance & Safety Practices

  • Staffing & Training: Background checks as required; ongoing training in elder care, infection prevention, and residents’ rights.
